Water Analysis About Our Products Spa Care Troubleshooting Spa Safety Where to Buy
Thursday November 20 2008

Iron, copper and manganese are the most common metals found in source water. When pH is low (below 7.0), these metals are in solution. But when pH is raised, metals can drop out of solution. Scale and metal stains form even more readily in the hot water of a spa than in pool water.

To keep metals under control, use SpaTime® Stain and Scale Control according to label directions once a week. It ties up iron, copper and manganese in the water and prevents stains and discolored water.

It can also be used to remove fresh stains and to clear up green water caused by copper or iron in solution. Chlorine levels should be 1.0 ppm -1.5 ppm prior to adding this product. Always follow label directions.
